Spiritual Outreach Roles:
  • Connections to Church family – visits to parishioners in homes, assisted livings, hospitals, & nursing homes, separated by disability/ aging/ illness/ care giving roles
  • Holy Communion & prayers for persons unable to attend Mass
  • Conveying parishioner requests to priests for anointing, Sacrament of the Healing, other Spiritual needs or home visits
  • Funeral Planning -meeting with families at the funeral home following a death to plan for funeral Mass/Services
  • Bereavement Support–visits to persons who are grieving the loss of spouse, children, parents
  • Recruiting, Training & Scheduling of Volunteers – for Holy Communion & Rosary at Oak Hills, Assisted Livings, New Ulm Medical Center,  etc.
  • Provide information and referral regarding community or parish resources to parishioners with special needs like rides to Mass, Meal Ministry, etc.
